      Gamaliel was known as "Maley". He was one of only 2 children - unusual in those days. His sister Georgia, married Lyman Benson, brother of Gamaliel's wife, Eleanor.

      Gamaliel was a Justice of the Peace in Rutland Township in 1897.

      Gamaliel is buried in Job's Corner Cemetary, PA

      Gamaliel and Eleanor had 8 children. Three died as young children.
      Emmett was only 19 months old, Elmer was only 8 1/2 when he was kicked by a horse and died. Myrtie died at age 10 1/2, of pneumonia. All three children are buried in Pumpkin Hill Cemetary in Roseville, with their grandparents, Hiram and Lucinda Cook.

      Gamaliel lived with daugher Edith and son-in-law Fred Stone after he left his wife, Eleanor, and went west with another woman, and then came back.
