Barbara Cain entered her heavenly home on Monday morning, March 3, 2008.
She was born on August 30, 1929 to Roy and Alta Brown of Kansas. In September 1946, Barbara moved to Ohio with her new husband, Calvin Clyde Cain, Sr. They lived most of their life in the Brimfield area, raising their four sons, Rodney, David (Sandy), Randy (Debbie) and Calvin Jr. (deceased
Barbara retired from Portage Packaging in Kent after 23 years service. She always enjoyed camping, fishing, and boating with her family.
Besides Barbara's loving husband of over 61 years and sons, she is survived by grandsons, Jason and Brian Cain. She also leaves behind, sister, Beverly Scott and brother, Ronnie Brown, both of Oregon, Olan and Lorene Cain of Suffield, and Gerald and Iva of Florida. Waiting for her in heaven with open arms were her parents; son, Calvin, Jr.; sister, Billie; brother, Mike; and grandson, Scott Cain.
She was a member of Community Baptist Temple.
Mom will be deeply missed, but she leaves us with a lifetime of memories and loving hearts. We love you.
Calling hours will be TODAY from 6 to 9 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 12 noon, with Rev. Mark O'Donnell officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery, Brimfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Suffield EMS, 1256 Waterloo Rd., Suffield OH 44260-9579.
